In this weeks Feature video we are showcasing Viking Kayaks NZ latest video with Stephen Tapp chasing Groper/Hapuku from his kayak. This species of fish is seldom targeted by kayakers as they are a deep water fish 100m+ which means for most kayak anglers the paddle to get into the fishing grounds is a big ask.
Not for Stephen Tapp who is arguably NZ’s leader in kayak fishing development and innovation and a big fan of RAILBLAZA products. Stephen is up to the challenge to get among this prime unchartered (by Kayak) fishing ground and as you will see in this session is well rewarded with some very big fish. Most of this great session has been filmed using our Boom 150 mounted to the TracPort 350 on Stephens Viking Pro Fish 440 kayak.
Stephen Tapp – New Zealand’s most well known and experienced kayak angler. He has been writing for NZ’s top fishing magazine (New Zealand Fishing News) since 2004 and has been fishing from, and improving kayaks for over 20 years. With his wealth of experience and friendly manner, you can ask him pretty much anything on the subject and you will get the information and advice you’re after. You can get in touch with Stephen by contacting Viking Kayaks NZ HERE
