The C Tug R mentions the better ability to leave your kayak loaded when transporting it, but also appears to be made for a pontoon style hull. I have a 12 foot touring kayak with a v shaped hull, but I need to be able to keep at least the gear that won’t fit on a pack on my back, inside the boat while transporting it. Which C Tug would be best for this? Thank you! Sam asked on March 30, 2023

The Original C-Tug would be perfect for you. It will hold lots of gear! and will fit your V hull exactly how you need it. With the Original C-Tug the hull pads move in and out to fit your hull snug. the c-tug with kiwi wheels will hold around 200lbs with normal use.

What do I need for a standup paddleboard? Scott Scott j Gleba asked on March 29, 2023

A regular C-Tug will work great for a StandUp Paddleboard. https://www.railblaza.com/products/c-tug-kayak-and-canoe-cart/

The only problem I have is the clips not clipping in correctly. The clips still had a piece of plastic on the inside of the clip. So I guess I need to file that piece of plastic off in order to get it to click in place. Not sure if that was in the design or manufacturing process. If it was I think someone dropped the ball with quality.

While the conversation kit may work for some kayaks with a “Double U Style” hull, it does not work on my kayak. I own an Old Town Topwater 120. The support rails are not quite tall enough to make contact with the bottom of the hull. To remedy this, I had to modify the product by adding pool noodles to provide the additional height needed.
